Dog Details

DAKOTA is a gentle giant who loves people, play time, toys and as lots of attention.  He know the commands sit, stay, come, wait, go and up. He likes treats and is a smart boy, therefore he could easily be trained further.

DAKOTA does not have a lot of experience with other dogs, but when he has had the opportunity, he enjoys a good game of chase with dogs his size.  He isn't aware of how large he is and could accidentally injure a small dog.  Recently DAKOTA met some children (9 - 11 years old) and happily received pets and did not jump or push the children.

Taking a walk to explore the neighborhood and sniff the bushes is one of DAKOTA's favorite daily activities.  If you take him for a ride in the car he will quietly sit in the back seat and enjoys having his head out the window smelling the fresh air.   If you are taking it easy at home, he is happy to play and relax in a fenced yard.  After a day of adventures he is ready to settle in with you to watch TV, cuddle and lay on his own doggie bed. 

He is currently living with a foster in Bellevue, WA and ready to be in a home that appreciates Malamutes and will spoil, love him and make him their priority.
