Noctis is a very intelligent, affectionate, and playful dog with a big personality. He’s a bit high-maintenance, but for the right family, that just means he brings a lot of love and character along with him. He enjoys spending time with people he trusts—especially with kids. He’s grown up alongside children ages 7, 4, and 2 and has done very well overall, especially with respectful interactions.

He is incredibly loyal and loving and shows his affection by rubbing up against the people he adores. Noctis is active and athletic—he enjoys long runs and hikes—but he also knows how to settle down and relax once it’s time to rest.

One of his cutest traits is that if you tell him “belly,” he’ll immediately roll over and patiently stare at you until a treat appears. It’s hard to say no to that face.

He does experience some separation anxiety, but he has proven to be respectful when left alone—he’s never attempted to dig under or jump a six-foot fence. He’s lived peacefully with a female dog and does best in a home without other male dogs. He has not been around cats, though he doesn’t appear to have a strong prey drive, even with deer and wildlife frequently nearby.

Noctis can be a bit sensitive and may vocalize if he’s uncomfortable, especially if startled or handled roughly, so he would do best with a family that understands dog body language and can provide calm, consistent guidance. While he may be a little unsure around new people at first, he often looks to his canine companions for reassurance and warms up with time.

Overall, Noctis would thrive in a loving, structured home that appreciates his loyalty, humor, and affectionate nature. With patience and understanding, he will be a deeply devoted companion.
