WAMAL’s annual online auction – featuring getaways, gear, and one-of-a-kind finds, all bidding done from your couch, all going straight back to Malamutes waiting for a home.
What Loot for Moots is
One auction, a whole rescue season funded.
Loot for Moots is WAMAL’s largest fundraiser of the year. Every bid helps cover the cost of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Alaskan Malamutes across Washington and Oregon – vet care and medical treatment, kennel and foster support, transport, and training for the dog’s (and families) that need a little more support.
WAMAL is entirely volunteer-run and has been doing this work since 1998. There’s no paid staff between your bid and the dog it helps – it goes directly to teh pack currently in our care.

Pet portraits, pottery, knitwear, and one-of-a-kind pieces from local makers.

Spa nights, coffee flights, game nights – curated bundles built around a theme.

We'll follow up
A volunteer will confirm details and arrange drop-off, pickup, or a mailed gift card/certificate — whatever’s easiest.
Your item goes live
We photograph and list it on the auction site with your name or business credited, and a link back to your site if you have one.
We'll follow up after
You’ll get a thank-you and a donation receipt for tax purposes once the auction closes.
What we’re looking for
- New or gently-used items in good condition
- Gift certificates and experience packages
- Services — training, grooming, photography, home/pet care
- Suggested minimum value: around $25
- No expired certificates or perishable items without prior arrangement
